Welcome to the world of Camping Backpacks!
There are three types of Camping Backpacks:
1. External Frame Camping Backpacks - use aluminum tubing to distribute the load. These are excellent beginner backpacks as they are usually the most reasonably priced, easy to pack, and the coolest–due to the 1 inch space between your body and the frame.
2. Internal Frame Camping Backpacks - use stays (flat bars, usually of aluminum or plastic) to distribute the packed weight. Internal-frame camping backpacks are more flexible than external-frame camping packs, making them more ideal for adventurers like skiers and mountain climbers. These backpacks are also more form-fitting. This means that there will be less of a chance of you getting hurt, or the backpack damaged.
3. Day Packs do not have a frame. The load rests mainly on the shoulders, but some day packs have hip belts to carry some of the load. They are small and light—good for a day hike or maybe an overnight camping excursion. They are versatile and are usually less expensive than internal- or external-frame camping backpacks.

Are you like me and sometimes like to just get away by myself, without the phone, TV or the computers?
Sometimes I just like to grab my Camping and Hiking Gear, load it in the truck and hit the road. I drive sometimes for hours until I find a new spot to camp that I haven’t been before.
First I grab my Eureka solo tent, my Slumberjack Sleeping bag and sleeping gear, my cooking gear, camping knivcs, flashlights, compass, my water microfilters for clean water treatment, and lastly my backpack.
Just having the quiet time to myself, is so peaceful. I spend a few days, and come back to my job refreshed ready to take on the world. Give it a try and see if you don’t enjoy the one-on-one with Mother Nature.
Having quality Camping Backpacks are the keys to hassle-free camping or hiking trip.
There are two types of Camping Backpacks–frame and frameless. It is always wise to choose one with a frame.
Today camping backpacks are a clever combination of aluminum, foam and plastic. Manufacturers trying to get the strength along with good construction, yet as lightweight as possible.
Pay close attention to the construction in regards to the framework, hip belt, back panel, shoulder straps, and materials used in each backpack. Also notice the many compartments designed into each camping backpack. Organization is the key to a successful and fun filled adventure.
The hip belt is very important part of a camping backpack as it receives all the weight.
A hard hip belt may cause bruising, yet a soft hip belt may wear out too soon. Choose a hip belt that is neither too hard or soft and compresses slowly.
By choosing carefully, your backpack will serve you for many years.

Also, Outdoor Clothing can mean the difference between failure and success. Plan for all weather that you may encounter. And never forget your well stocked First Aid Kit.
