Eureka 5th Season Exo Expedition TentWhen putting yourself against Mother Nature, the key is to be PREPARED. And to be prepared means a great deal of time thinking and planning before you leave home.

Always be prepared for the worst!

Another key factor to keep in mind is having Outdoor Camping Gear that is rugged and reliable that you can stake your life on.

Pictured here is a Eureka 5th Season Expedition Tent.  It maintains its low and narrow profile for excellent performance in tight spots and windy conditions. Its super-strong exoskeleton frame with color coded poles, super-tough gated carabiners, and post & grommet assembly speed set up, even with gloved hands. A cold weather PU transparent vestibule window brightens the interior. 24-pocket organizer wall, 2 gear lofts and 1 flashlight loop aid storage. Conquer the elements.

Also, Outdoor Clothing can mean the difference between failure and success. Plan for all weather that you may encounter. And never forget your well stocked First Aid Kit.

Another important factor to keep in mind is knowing your intended route and area well. Outdoor Navigation is very important, so make sure you have a good compass, maps, and the knowledge to use them.

ALWAYS PRACTICE THE 5 P’S:

 Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance

We hope we have helped you understand important factors of Outdoor Camping Gear and Skills better so the next time you head out on a wilderness adventure you will be prepared for almost anything Mother Nature has to offer.

When going on a backpacking adventure, realize that you will be leaving your modern conveniences behind, so it is vital to make sure you plan properly. Let us help you get the most out of your outdoor experience.

1.    Research - Before you even think of leaving the house, study maps and go online to
get the most current infomation on your trail terrain. Visitor Centers and Ranger
Stations may be able to provide info about fire bans, bridges out, and bear activity.

2.    Terrain -  Understand how difficult the trail terrain is that you will be backpacking.
Take some time before your trip to physically prepare yourself. Be sure
the backpacking area is not too difficult for you may be disappointed.

3.    Weather - Always check weather forecast before leaving. Even though it is very
changeable, it is better to be prepared as much as possible with the proper
       Camping Backpacks.

4.    Campsites - It is important to know where the sites are, how far apart they are, and
how many sites are available. Some sites will only allow overnight stays.

5.   Tents or Shelters - Bring proper Camping Tent that fits your needs. Many styles are available to make sure your safe from the worst weather. If you plan on staying at a trail shelter, find out how many are available and locations. Early arrival may mean losing a spot for the night.

6.   Water - Very important factor in planning a backpacking adventure. Know where
lakes, rivers, streams and all other water sources are located. Always drink
what you can  near good water and be sure to refill before you leave there.
May want to bring Water Treatment Products for your safe drinking water.

Check Backpacking/Hiking Gear Before You Leave

Be sure to check all your Backpacking/Hiking Gear is in great shape before you leave
home. It is better to find out if something is broken or in need of repair before you go instead out in the woods.

Upon returning home, remember to clean everything thoroughly. Vacuum out your
pack, Sleeping Bag and Pad, and outerwear to prevent wear caused by grime and dirt.
Grease your boots so they’re clean and rewaterproofed for your next hiking trip.
